Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest Lead Netflix’s ‘My Oxford Year’ Adaptation by Temple Hill

Sofia Carson from Purple Hearts and Corey Mylchreest from Queen Charlotte will star in Netflix’s adaptation of the famous book My Oxford Year by Julia Whelan. Carson and Mylchreest are both well-known actors. Temple Hill Entertainment will produce, and Iain Morris, who directed “The Inbetweeners,” will be in charge of directing. The project is being run by Laura Quicksilver and George Berman.

The first draft was written by Allison Burnett, and Savion Einstein is currently making changes. Caroline Levy is in charge of organizing.

Carson was also the film’s executive producer and co-wrote and performed on its original score, which is now Netflix’s most streamed soundtrack ever.

Carson then played lead roles in the Netflix and Amblin thriller Carry-On, which also stars Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman. Adam Brooks, who wrote and directed The Life List, will also star in it.

Mylchreest has had similar success in the world of Bridgerton. His most recent role was as Young King George in Queen Charlotte. He was also in the Netflix show The Sandman. Carson is signed with WME and Ziffren Brittenham, and Mylchreest is signed with WME, Independent Talent Group, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
